Jaipur. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi says that Bharatiya Janata Party only wants to divide and suppress people.
Addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara on Monday, Rahul Gandhi said, “It is a fight of two ideologies. On one side is the Congress, which says that everyone has to be protected and everyone should be taken along. On the other side is the BJP, which works only to divide and suppress the people.
“There is a strong relationship between the tribal community and the Congress party. We are protecting the history of the tribal people and we never want to erase it. During the tenure of the United Progressive Alliance government, we had brought a historic law to protect the land, forest and water of the tribal people.
While praising the state government headed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, he said, “The Rajasthan government is working for the benefit of the tribals. This government is ahead of other states in the work done on the health front. This government gives health insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh. Even the English medium schools which are here will also benefit the tribals a lot because after studying here they will get employment anywhere.
Before addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi laid the foundation stone of a bridge at Baneshwar Dham and visited a temple there.
