New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced to approach the Calcutta High Court over a video released by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) alleging that women in Sandeshkhali conducted sexual assaults against TMC leaders on the instructions of the BJP. Complaints of harassment have been lodged. BJP announced on Sunday to go to court against these allegations.
In the purported video, a person claiming to be Gangadhar Kayal, Mandal President of BJP in Sandeshkhali, can be heard saying that Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Subhendu Adhikari is behind the entire conspiracy. Trinamool released a video on social media on Saturday, claiming it vindicates its stand that BJP was behind the Sandeshkhali episode.

What did the Leader of Opposition say?
Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Subhendu Adhikari, refuted TMC’s allegations and said that Kayal’s voice in the video has been artificially generated. Addressing journalists in Purba Medinipur, Adhikari gave importance to several complaints lodged by women in Sandeshkhali and said that TMC will not be freed from the allegations by releasing the fake video prepared by tampering.
‘The whole country knows what happened’
The officer said, “The entire country knows about the crime committed in Sandeshkhali. Women lodged hundreds of complaints there. All of them were tortured. He was called at an inopportune time by some local leaders in the name of important discussion. “TMC cannot escape the allegations by bringing out a doctored video.” He said that Kayal will soon move the High Court demanding an investigation against TMC and those who allegedly used his voice for dragging his name in the alleged video.
