Chennai . BJP’s Tamil Nadu state president K. Annamalai will be on a four-day visit to Sri Lanka. The yatra is being considered as a well-planned political move to strengthen the image of the party in the state. Sri Lanka is facing an economic crisis. According to Annamalai, the visit is taking place at the invitation of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress, a political party in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to -AnyTV News, he said, “I am going on a four-day visit to Sri Lanka. I will meet the parliamentarians, representatives of NGOs and political leaders there. This will be followed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. . Will present a report to Nadda on the situation in the island nation.”
The Ceylon Workers’ Congress thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing one billion dollars in financial assistance to the island nation.
BJP is trying to make its presence felt in Tamil Nadu. By forming a political alliance with AIADMK, the party is working on the agenda of strengthening its hold among the people.
