Sachchidananda/Patna: Cases of brain hemorrhage are mostly seen in winter, but the number of its patients has started increasing in summer also. Even the doctors are surprised by this and have come on alert mode. In the last three days, 10 patients of brain hemorrhage have come to IGIMS in Patna, one of the big hospitals of Bihar. Two patients were admitted last Wednesday, three on Tuesday and five on Monday. If we add the previous patients, till Thursday morning about 20 patients were admitted and they are undergoing treatment. Dr. Manish Mandal, Medical Superintendent-cum-Deputy Director of IGIMS, said that these cases in summer are shocking. The biggest reason for this could be sudden change in temperature.
This is the cause of brain hemorrhage
Dr. Manish Mandal said that among the patients being admitted, it is seen that their age is between 40 to 60 years. Besides, he is suffering from BP and sugar. These people were not taking regular BP medicines. Because of this, BP and sugar remain continuously increased. In such a situation, if the patient suddenly goes from cold to heat or from heat to cold, then the possibility of brain hemorrhage increases.
What this means is that cases of brain hemorrhage are coming to light in summer due to reasons like coming out of AC immediately or going into AC immediately from heat, leaving BP medicine etc. There has been a sudden increase in it in the last 10 days. These patients are being treated. Patients have to be kept in ICU, while some even need ventilators.
Don’t do this even by mistake
Seeing the increasing cases of brain hemorrhage in the summer season, Dr. Manish Mandal cautioned the people that they should not go into the sun immediately after turning on the AC or sit in the AC immediately after the sun. Before doing this, reduce the AC so that the body temperature comes around the outside temperature.
Bank job during the day and UPSC studies at night, now she will become an IAS officer after getting sixth rank.
Apart from this, do not skip BP medicine. When BP is high and there is a sudden change in temperature, the human brain is unable to tolerate this sudden change in temperature, due to which the possibility of stroke increases, which is dangerous. Apart from these things, do not let there be shortage of water in the body. Keep consuming fluids as much as possible.
