In April, SEBI had asked investors to submit their original certificates by June 30 after receiving the SMS. This was only for those investors whose amount ranged from Rs 10,001 to Rs 15,00.

Union Bank increased the rate on deposits
Union Bank hikes interest rates on fixed deposits. In a statement, the bank said that the new rate would be applicable for all time periods. Less than 2 crores and on 46-90 days the rate has increased by 0.55 per cent to 4.05 per cent. The rate has increased by 0.35 per cent to 5.45 per cent over a period of one to two years. From 181 days to one year, the interest rate of 0.20 percent has increased to 4.60 percent.

Consensus could not be reached on GST slab
No consensus could be reached in the meeting of the Group of Ministers to discuss the issue of slabs and inverted duty in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Now this issue will be discussed again later. There are currently four slabs in GST. The meeting also demanded extension of the deadline for GST compensation to the states.
