New Delhi. Pitru Paksha has started and people all over the country have started preparations to do charity, charity etc. for the peace of the souls of their ancestors. On this occasion, there is an influx of people at Hari Ki Pauri Ghat of Soronji’s pilgrimage town. It is believed that by performing tarpan here, special blessings of ancestors are obtained. After performing Shradh at this place, the Varaha form is seen in the temple of Shri Hari Vishnu located nearby. Only after doing this the Shradh Karma is considered complete. According to Hindu scriptures, performing Shradh in Sukar Kshetra is most auspicious. Being the place of Lord Soronji Varaha, there is no better place for Shradh than this.
Lakhs of devotees take a dip in Gangaji on the full moon day of Shradh Paksha. On this occasion, the priest Vanshidhar Shastri told that ‘During Pitrupaksha, feeding Brahmins with food and donating Dakshina etc. gives virtuous benefits.’ He said that for 16 days there will be an influx of devotees in the pilgrimage city of Soron to offer obeisances to the ancestors. It is said about this place that this is the original region of the earth. Also, this place is considered to be situated in the holy zone of Varaha Ganga, Brihad Ganga and Bhagirathi Ganga.
The ancestors are pleased to visit this holy shrine and touch the holy Raj here. The person who donates Pind also gets salvation. Apart from this, it is also considered as the favorite place of Lord Varaha, which is why he attained salvation here.
