New Delhi/Gurugram. Incidents of fraud are very common. People with criminal tendencies are always trying to cheat people in many ways. But when the property worth crores of rupees of a powerful leader who has been an influential minister is usurped, it is surprising. Also, the question arises that when this can happen to a leader and minister, what is the fate of common people. This incident of fraud has happened with a former minister. His property worth crores located in Gurugram, a major city of Delhi-NCR, was taken over by the caretaker appointed by him. The accused did not do only this, he along with other people sold a part of the property and also started running paying guest (PG) illegally in 45 rooms of the bungalow. The accused has also been found to have a connection with the nephew of the victim leader.
According to information, former Bihar minister Professor Ravindra Charan Yadav has a 900 sq ft property in Palam Vihar. According to the complaint lodged by his wife Pramila with the police, Lokesh had sold 19,440 sq ft (2,160 sq yard) land to her near the Delhi-Jaipur highway. At that time, the price of this property was Rs 3.3 crore. Pramila said that the full payment for the land was made by 12 April 2016. The land was transferred through power of attorney. Payment was made several times through cheques. On the complaint of the former minister, a case has been registered against Lokesh Saini, his wife Neha, mother Manju and associate Praveen Yadav under various sections of the IPC including fraud.

Illegal business in 45 rooms
In the complaint filed by the former minister’s wife Pramila Kumari, it is said that Lokesh has converted their 5-storey building into a paying guest (PG). There are a total of 45 rooms in the building, which have been converted into PG. Pramila said in her complaint that over time, 1700 square yards were sold in the last few years. In the remaining part, she built a 5-storey house. Former minister Ravindra Yadav lives in Patna with his family. He had appointed Lokesh as the caretaker for the property in Gurugram. Ravindra Charan Yadav told ‘Times of India’ that his nephew works in Gurgaon and Lokesh is his good friend. Due to acquaintance, he made Lokesh the caretaker.
This is how the fraud came to light
The victim former minister told that he had come to see his property in Gurgaon in September 2023. He found that Lokesh had rented out his entire building. For security reasons, he tried to install CCTV cameras in the house, but Lokesh stopped him from doing so. When Ravindra Charan Yadav talked to Lokesh in this regard, the accused allegedly threatened to kill him. He also warned him not to come here again. Later it was found out that Lokesh had also sold a part of the land illegally. The buyer of the land lives in Faridabad. After this, he filed a case in Palam Vihar in September 2023.
