The Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra has taken a big decision in the case of mob lynching of sadhus in Palghar. The Shinde government has agreed to investigate the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the killing of sadhus in Palghar. Let us tell you that today itself has filed an affidavit in the matter on behalf of the Maharashtra government in the Supreme Court. In this affidavit, the state government categorically stated that there is no objection to a CBI inquiry into the matter. Let us tell you that the Palghar case is under the Supreme Court.
Earlier, the Uddhav Thackeray government had objected to a CBI inquiry into the killing of sadhus in Palghar. Significantly, during the lockdown on 16 April 2020, two sadhus and their driver were brutally murdered by the local people in Palghar late night. The villagers had killed the sadhus on the suspicion of being a child thief. Whose video also became quite viral on social media.
