Panaji. Installation of CCTV cameras in Revenue Department offices in Goa will help in speedy disposal of civil cases. This information was given by Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate on Wednesday. Monserrate said, “We should look after the business. There will be monitoring of the work in the minister’s cabin and there should also be a secretary to oversee the work in the revenue office. They should know how the department works and the department is working.” Yes or No.”
The minister has further said that CCTV cameras will be installed in all the revenue department offices which will deal with the petitions of citizens as well as other matters. We have asked the revenue department how many cases are pending. We are looking into that.
We have put everyone to work. All tenancy matters will be resolved in a stipulated time. At present around 3,400 such cases are pending in the revenue department offices in the coastal state.
