Recently, CEO Vishal Garg, who was fired from the company by giving information to his employees on just a Zoom call, has apologized after heavy criticism. Better.com CEO Vishal Garg has sent an apology mail to his current employees, acknowledging that his approach was wrong and irresponsible. This mail was leaked on social media by an employee of Better.com.
Let us tell you that in his apology, Garg has written that he was not able to show proper respect and appreciation towards the people affected by this decision and their contribution. He has said that even though the decision to fire the employees was his, he made a mistake in announcing it. He admitted that the way it all happened made a difficult situation worse.
Significantly, the CEO had laid off nine percent of the company’s total workforce on a Zoom call. The CEO said on the call that ‘if you are on this call, you are part of the unlucky group that is being fired.’ He cited the reason behind the employees being lazy and working only two hours a day.
