Raipur (Naiduniya Representative). CGBSE Board Exam 2022: Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (Mashim) will be a big challenge to stop copying during the 10th-12th board examination 2022. Actually, this time Mashim has increased the number of examination centers to prevent corona infection, but questions have arisen regarding the system of monitoring the examination here. The government school which Mashim has made the examination center, the principal or senior teacher of the same school has also been appointed as the center head here. This is the situation in most of the examination centers. In such a situation, experts believe that the challenges of preventing cheating in board exams will increase.
Experts believe that the principal or teacher of every government school wants better results in their school. This is the reason that in the last years, such a person has been made the head of the center, who is from another school or some outside examinee in his school is taking the examination. There may not be that much discipline in taking the board exams of our own children. In such a situation, teachers or principals of other schools in these schools should be made the center head here. Although Mashim has asked to constitute flying squad teams at his own level, at the divisional level and at the district administration level, it will be difficult to monitor all the schools due to the increase in the number of centers.
In this way increased examination centers
10th in last year 2021 – 2,351 exam centers
10th in this year 2022 – 4,044 exam centers
12th in last year 2021 – 2,351 exam centers
12th in this year 2022 – 6,743 exam centers
Most centers in Janjgir-Champa
For the 10th examination, the maximum number of examination centers have been made in Janjgir-Champa, 531. 512 has been set up in Raipur and the lowest number of exam centers is 41 in Narayanpur. Similarly, 358 have been made in Janjgir-Champa, the maximum number of examination centers in class 12th. 345 examination centers have been set up in Raipur and the lowest in Sukma is 19. It is worth noting that this time three lakh 80 thousand 27 children have been registered in class 10th. Of these, three lakh 77 thousand 667 regular and two thousand 360 private candidates have been registered.
Similarly, this time a total of two lakh 93 thousand 425 candidates are appearing for the 12th board examination. Of these, two lakh 89 thousand 808 candidates are regular. While there are three thousand 617 private candidates. The 12th board exam will be conducted from March 2 to March 30, 2022. The timing of the examination will be from 9 am to 12.15 pm. Similarly, the 10th examination will be conducted from March 3 to 23, 2022. The timing of the examination will be from 9 am to 12.15 pm.
Monitoring is being arranged
In government schools, the same teacher or principal will be the center head, but for private schools, the center head will be sent from government schools. Arrangements are being made for monitoring during the examination. -Pro. VK Goyal, Secretary, Mashim
Expert View
The challenge will be to stop copying
On one hand, senior teachers from government schools are being made center heads to take examinations in private schools. On the other hand, in the examination centers of government schools, the teachers and principals here are being given the responsibility of conducting the examination. Mashim and the administration do not have enough flying squads to monitor them continuously. Stopping copying in such a situation would be a big challenge. For every school, a gazetted officer should be made a supervisor and sent to the government. – Sanjay Joshi Educationist and former member, Mashim
