Raipur (State Bureau). To counter the opposition’s attacks on the issue of unemployment in Chhattisgarh, the government is collecting data on employment to the local unemployed. For this information is being sought from all the departments. The government is claiming to provide employment to about five lakh people in government and private sector in three years.
Despite this, the number of registered unemployed in the state of Chhattisgarh is about 18 lakhs. During the budget session of the Legislative Assembly starting from March 7, the opposition party is preparing to surround the government with this. Let us inform that the promise of unemployment allowance has already been made a weapon by the opposition.
According to officials, many departments have sent the figures. PWD has given information about giving employment to more than 1600 unemployed engineers. The Chief Engineer of the Urban Administration Department has also written a letter to all the bodies seeking information about providing employment to the local unemployed registered in the E-category with them. Here, during the budget session of the assembly, the opposition party is preparing to surround the government in the house on the issue of employment and unemployment allowance.
Claims are being made to provide employment in these sectors
The state government is claiming to provide about five lakh jobs in three years. This includes 2,885 jobs from State Public Service Commission and 4,530 from Vyapam. There are recruitment of 14,580 teachers, three thousand in electricity company, four thousand in health department, about eight thousand in police, 392 in revenue department and 3,861 in forest department. Similarly, eight hundred jobs have been given in the Department of Women and Child Development.
Along with this 3,155 compassionate appointments, Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College, 1,041 in other medical colleges, 230 appointments in Krishi Udyanik along with 1,200 appointments are claimed to regularize one lakh 47 thousand irregulars. It is being said to provide employment to the remaining three lakhs in the private sector.
When Congress came to power, there were 24 lakh registered unemployed
According to government data, when the Congress came to power in December 2018, the number of registered unemployed in the state was about 24 lakh. Now it has come down to around 18 lakhs.
