A Chinese passenger has reportedly spent Rs 4 crore for a bottle of rare Japanese whiskey at Turkey’s Istanbul airport.This bottle of whiskey was put up for sale in a duty free shop at the airport. Very few bottles of this 55-year-old whiskey were kept in the market at that time. This whiskey is known as Chamazaki.
According to a media report, the bottle has been on sale for the past one year at the duty free shop. Some customers were invited to bid for the rare bottle.A Chinese man left behind seven others and made a bid of 4 crores for whiskey. Housewife Suntory, a Japanese whiskey company, said that the whiskey smelled like sandalwood.
