Jaipur . On Tuesday, on the information of CID Crime Branch Jaipur, Nikumbh police station of Chittorgarh district stopped the truck near Napavali on the Gujarat border and arrested the truck-riding smuggler by confiscating banned khair wood worth about Rs 80 lakh. The truck was loaded with 15 tonnes and 7 quintals of khair wood.
ADG Crime Dr. Ravi Prakash told that the smuggler Safaruddin Khan, son of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, was smuggling wood from Pratapgarh to Gujarat. Which has been caught on the information of CID Jaipur by Nikumbha police station of Chittorgarh district on the Gujarat border. The arrested smugglers are being intensively questioned by the Chittorgarh Police regarding their entire network.
CID Crime DIG Dr Rahul Prakash said that on Tuesday, DSP Pushpendra Singh Rathod of CID Crime Branch got information from the informer that a truck loaded with banned khair wood is going from Pratapgarh to Gujarat via Nimbahera from Mangalvad side. On information, the CID team was dispatched. But due to the location of the truck coming on the Gujarat border, the team was far away from the smuggler. On this, SP Chittorgarh was informed on the instructions of ADG Crime.
DIG Rahul Prakash said that on the instructions of SP Chittorgarh, the police station officer Nikumbha and the team chased the truck and stopped it near Napavali. Searching the truck found 15 tonnes and 7 quintals of valuable khair wood. On this, the police station arrested the smuggler Safaruddin Khan.
