The Bhagwant Mann government has taken a big step to improve the law and order situation in Punjab. He has announced that an Anti Gangster Task Force will be formed in the state. The ADGP level officer will be given the responsibility of this task force. Issuing a statement, the Punjab government said that emphasis will be laid on eliminating organized crime in the state.
On behalf of the government, it was said, ‘A fully dedicated task force is being formed against murders and organized crime in the state. It will be headed by an ADGP rank officer. The Punjab government said that the task of this task force would be to collect intelligence, conduct operations and register FIRs and investigate and bring the matter to a diagnosis.
Under this task force, a new police station will be created which will act as the headquarters for this task force. The campaign against such crimes has been run by the Senior Superintendent of Police and the Commissioner of Police till now. Now the Punjab government has said that new equipment and manpower will also be provided to the new task force.
