State Bureau, Bhopal. On Thursday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met former Chief Minister Uma Bharti in Bhopal on the demand of complete prohibition. In the discussion between the two, Shivraj assured Uma Bharti that the state government would campaign with the public representatives in Madhya Pradesh to build a drug-free society. The Chief Minister himself gave this information through a tweet. There has been no response from Uma Bharti in this regard.

The Chief Minister said in a tweet that after the plantation of saplings on Thursday, I met respected Umashree Bharti ji at his residence. He has social concerns regarding alcoholism and de-addiction. On the concern of respected didi regarding alcohol and drug de-addiction, I have requested her that the government will run a public awareness campaign along with public representatives, citizens and social organizations to build a drug-free society in Madhya Pradesh.
He said that respected didi, I have requested him to cooperate in this campaign. Together we will make every effort to build a healthy, strong society and de-addiction. Significantly, several days ago, Uma Bharti had announced to launch a movement from January 14 to demand complete prohibition in the state. Congress had announced to support Uma Bharti by supporting it. Since then, the politics of the state has been hot regarding the prohibition of liquor.
Water is not rising above the canal even by installing a pump, tribals are upset
Bhopal (State Bureau). Congress MLA from Bargi assembly constituency Sanjay Yadav raised the issue of pending Baradev micro lift irrigation project in the assembly on Thursday. He said that 72,864 farmers of 103 villages would be benefitted by this project and 28,500 hectare area would get irrigation facility, but it is pending. Due to this the tribals of the area are upset and have been agitating for 15 days. Even after reaching the letter from Chief Minister Monitor, action is not being taken.
Responding to this, Minister of State, Narmada Valley Development Department, Bharat Singh Kushwaha said that it is not possible to include the new scheme at present. Farmers themselves can draw water for irrigation by using pumps. Instructions have also been given for this. On this, MLA Lakhan Ghanghoria said that water cannot climb even from the motor. Speaker Girish Gautam said that you should get it checked whether the water can climb or not. On this, the departmental minister has assured to conduct an inquiry.
