New Delhi. In the last five years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has kept quality and speedy disposal of public grievances as his top priority and for this he himself has been doing reviews. In compliance with this, the State Government has issued instructions to the police and administrative officers to ensure quality disposal of public grievances at the earliest. The government has directed that in each district, the District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Police, Commissioner of Police in the Commissionerate of Police should conduct public hearings in their offices from 10 am to 11 am on all working days and resolve the problems there. If there is no quality and speedy disposal of public complaints received on IGRS and CM helpline in the absence of officers in public hearing, then strict action will be taken against the concerned district level officers.
It is the direction of the state government that if the problem of any applicant is pending for a long time, then the problems received should be resolved by directing the revenue and police officers over the phone. Especially in land-related disputes, the Commissioner of Police, District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Police, if necessary, take action by forming a joint team of revenue and police officers.
The state government has also directed that strict action should be taken if complaints of corruption etc. by subordinate officers, employees are received during public hearing. If a complainant gives a complaint more than once, then understanding the root cause of the problem, action should be taken against the guilty personnel. Public grievances received from public representatives at the time of public hearing should be resolved on priority.
The state government has directed the divisional and district level officers to regularly review the disposal of complaints received in IGRS, CM Helpline, Tehsil / Thana Day. It has also been directed that action should be taken against the concerned officers of any block, tehsil or police station in which maximum cases are pending.
It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister has also given instructions through video conferencing from time to time for timely disposal of public grievances. It has also been directed that the district level officers should do special review of such identified tehsils and police stations and if necessary, ensure their disposal by ensuring visits as well. Along with this, it is the responsibility of the district officials to promptly redress the complaints received on the CM helpline.
