Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed all government schools of UP to provide WiFi facility in the next 100 days. He said that every school should have a website and email ID for all the students. He directed the officials to introduce biometric attendance in all government schools. He said that career counseling portal ‘Pankh’, online monitoring grading and e-library portal should also be developed at the earliest.
He further said that the new exam pattern for class 10th board should be implemented by 2023, while for class 12th it should be implemented from 2025 for structural and administrative reforms. Yogi gave these instructions here in view of the presentations on the education sector. He said that an action plan should be drawn up to improve learning outcomes, increase enrollment and reduce dropout rates.
CM Yogi said that a new sports policy should be prepared soon for the state. The Chief Minister said that Public Private Partnership (PPP) model should be followed for setting up sports colleges and sports academies at the divisional level. He said that career counseling cells should be established in all educational institutions. Work for internship program and job oriented education should start in class 9 and 11.
Prepare a strategy for setting up high school and intermediate college
The Chief Minister said that evaluation and certification of schools should be started in five years. Yogi said that a strategy should be prepared to establish high schools and intermediate colleges in untouched areas in five years. He told the officials that all schools should have smart classrooms, real time monitoring, student tracking system and integrated data management system. He also said that the Directorate of Sanskrit Education should be established in the next two years.
There is a need to link Sanskrit with technology, he said, adding that a 180-hour certification and 360-hour diploma program should be started. He said that the vacant posts on all teaching posts should be filled immediately and appointments should be made on the posts of yoga teachers. The Chief Minister said that qualitative improvement should be brought in the field of higher education in the next five years. He directed that the portal should be started in 100 days by making rules for e-learning parks and Abacus-UP in 120 government colleges. He said that there should be a portal for applications for setting up of private universities.
Arrangements should be made to learn Japanese language and provide skilled labor to Japanese industry
The Chief Minister asked the officials to ensure that incubators are started in five government colleges and three state universities. He said that the University Grants Commission has allowed dual degree, for this a strategy should be prepared in the state. The Chief Minister said that the first phase of Maa Shakumbri Devi University (Saharanpur), Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University (Aligarh) and Maharaja Suheldev State University (Azamgarh) should be completed by 2023.
He said that arrangements should be made to learn the Japanese language and to provide skilled labor to the Japanese industry. The Chief Minister called for a feasibility study and identification of land for setting up a skill university. He said that funds should be transferred through DBT to all students to buy school bags, sweaters, shoes and socks. He said that Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya should be established in every block of Uttar Pradesh.
