Meeting of Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Yogi
After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Amit Shah in Delhi. Both the top leaders of the party met at the Home Minister’s residence. This was CM Yogi’s first meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah after the election results. CM Yogi congratulated Amit Shah on the start of the third term of the Modi government after the oath taking ceremony of the Prime Minister and ministers.
Also met Rajnath and Nitin Gadkari
After meeting Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also met cabinet ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari. CM Yogi congratulated Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh for being made ministers at the Centre once again.
Ministers advised to stay away from VIP culture
CM Yogi had a meeting with the state ministers on the performance of BJP in UP in the Lok Sabha elections. In this meeting, CM Yogi had advised his ministers to stay away from VIP culture. CM Yogi had told his ministers that they have to go among the people and understand the issues of the public.
Most ministers were made from UP
In the oath ceremony held yesterday, Uttar Pradesh has made the most number of ministers. Out of 72 ministers, 11 are from Uttar Pradesh only. These include Rajya Sabha MP Hardeep Singh Puri, Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, Pilibhit MP Jitin Prasad, Maharajganj MP Pankaj Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP BL Verma, Bansgaon MP Kamlesh Paswan, Agra BJP MP SP Singh Baghel and NDA’s Jayant Chaudhary and Anupriya Patel have also been given place in Modi 3.0 cabinet.
BJP did not perform well in UP
This time BJP’s performance in Uttar Pradesh has not been as good as it was seen in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP, BJP has won 33 seats. Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party has emerged as the largest party in UP. SP has won 37 Lok Sabha seats in UP. Congress has got only 6 seats.
