The Congress party has suffered a crushing defeat in the recently concluded assembly elections in five states. The party has also lost power in Punjab. After the dismal performance of the Congress in five states, the demand for change of leadership has also started rising.
The disgruntled camp within the party is expressing displeasure with the party high command through frequent meetings. On Wednesday, once again G-23 members held a meeting at the house of Ghulam Nabi Azad. Shashi Tharoor has also participated in this meeting. With Tharoor joining the G-23 group, the difficulties of the high command may increase.
