New Delhi: BJP National President JP Nadda has launched a major attack on the opposition parties, alleging that the Congress and Indian alliance want to snatch away the rights of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes of the country and give them to Muslims. He said that this is their hidden agenda and appeasement is clearly visible in the Congress manifesto also.
He said that BJP does not want Muslims to be neglected, but Muslims should not get undue benefits at the cost of other communities. Nadda further said that Congress says that Muslims have the first right on the country’s resources, whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that the poor have the first right on the country’s resources.

Reminding the tenure of the UPA government, the BJP President said that while addressing the National Development Council meeting in December 2006, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had given the statement of Muslims having the first right on resources not by mistake but deliberately. While answering a question during a press conference in Mumbai in April 2009, Manmohan Singh again justified his statement and said that minorities, especially Muslims, should be given priority. Muslims should have the first right on the country’s resources.
Terming the Sachar Committee report as a false statement, Nadda said that in it the condition of Muslims was said to be worse than that of Dalits. This clearly means that Congress was making the premise long ago that somehow Muslims should be declared Scheduled Caste and they should be given the benefits under SC reservation.
The BJP President alleged that Congress has said in its manifesto that there is no place for majoritarianism in the country, which means that they have strong hatred for SC, ST and OBC. The majority of the population in the country belongs to these poor people and these classes. He said that this habit of Congress of robbing their rights is very old. Jawaharlal Nehru was always in favor of Muslims. Nadda fiercely targeted the Congress, mentioning several steps taken by the Congress government for appeasement at the Center and in various states.
