New Delhi. Congress-BJP are constantly attacking each other regarding the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Both the opposing parties are finding flaws in each other’s policies. Along with this, star campaigners are also not shying away from political taunting. Recently, PM Modi had said about Ram Mandir that if Congress comes to power, it will run a bulldozer on Ram Mandir. Now Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has hit back on this statement. He said that this allegation of PM Modi is outright false and baseless. Congress is a party that respects all religions and their faith. Along with this, Kharge also said that Congress was in power for 55 years, despite this we never stopped anyone from believing in his faith or worshiping. Terming PM Modi’s statement as completely false, Kharge also said that helping the poor of any sect is not the politics of appeasement.
Along with this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of promoting division among the people for electoral gains. Kharge said that where people were living harmoniously earlier, the BJP and Modi have deliberately created division to gain votes. Pointing to the BJP’s constant allegations against opposition parties, he said, “They do things for votes and accuse others of using bulldozers.”
Kharge also criticized the BJP for its propaganda against the Congress during the tenure of the UPA government. He claimed that the BJP consistently opposed welfare schemes meant to help the poor. “When our party launched initiatives like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), the Food Security Act and the Rural Health Mission, the BJP opposed them,” Kharge commented. He further said that the BJP’s opposition to land reforms and nationalization of banks, these measures were aimed at benefiting the underprivileged.
