New Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has accused Congress leader Jagdish Tytler of inciting the mob to commit murder at Gurdwara Pul Bangash in Delhi. According to the charge sheet filed by the CBI, Tytler is accused of inciting the mob during the anti-Sikh riots.
The charge sheet includes the statement of a witness who recalled, “I saw the Congress leader inciting the crowd while getting out of his car. Tytler incited the mob to attack the Sikhs, resulting in the arson of Gurdwara Pul Bangash and the tragic death of three.”
This case is related to the horrific massacre of Sikhs after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The event, which came to be known as the 1984 Sikh riots, left an indelible mark on the country’s history, with thousands losing their lives and many others displaced and left in trauma.
