Every state has its own special spices. But there are some spices which are used all over the country. One such spice is cinnamon. This spice, which comes from the bark of a tree, is slightly sweet in taste. It is used in many types of dishes.
Use cinnamon in limited quantities
Cinnamon is good for taste and health. But this spice should be used only in a limited quantity. What is the correct quantity to use cinnamon? To know this, we talked to food expert Dr. Pranav Bhargava. He told that cinnamon in India mainly comes from two places. Cinnamon which comes from China should be consumed only in a fixed quantity. A person weighing 50 kg should consume only 5.6 grams of cinnamon coming from China in a day.
Too much cinnamon can cause cancer
Dr. Pranav told that 70 percent of the market in India is of cinnamon coming from China. It is hotter and more powerful. A person weighing 50 kg should take only 0.4 grams of cinnamon. If you consume more than this, you can become seriously ill. Along with stomach upset, there may also be a risk of mouth ulcers. If you use more cinnamon than required daily, the risk of cancer may also increase.
