There are many such cases, who got the connection disconnected, yet the electricity company is paying bills of thousands of rupees every month. The biggest problem is that the officers of the power company are neither meeting in the offices nor picking up the phone calls of the consumers. Due to this, hundreds of complaints are related to electricity bills from the collector’s public hearing to the CM helpline, which are not being resolved.
Sanjay’s son Anturam Shakya, who lives in Singalpura, Jaura, collects electricity bill every month, last month Sanjay deposited Rs 1025 for electricity bill, but this month he has been handed an electricity bill of Rs 62 thousand 352. Sanjay Shakya’s two-room house has a single phase connection, but he has paid electricity bills more than any industries like speller, oil mill, flour mill. After going round the office of Jaura Electricity Company for almost a month, when no officer listened, then Sanjay Shakya came on Friday with an application to Collector B Karthikeyan and told that he is from a poor family, he can never deposit such a bill. The collector has directed EE PK Sharma of the electricity company to get this electricity bill checked.
Connection cut still bills are being issued:
Anil’s son Babulal Gupta, who lives on Mall Godown Road of Morena city, was disconnected a year ago in January 2021 due to an outstanding electricity bill of Rs 68 thousand. Even after disconnected electricity connection for about 13 months, the electricity bill being given to Anil Gupta every month is being increased by Rs 2500 to 3500 per month. Similar is the case of Keshav Semil, a resident of Uttampura in Morena, who has closed his grocery shop during the Corona period. Before closing the shop, he paid the entire bill, but even after this, for the last 11 months, he is being given electricity bill of 500 to 700 rupees every month.
Electricity bills are not being improved in six months:
Mahesh Sharma, a resident of Ramnagar, runs a cloth shop in Markandeshwar Market opposite the railway station. Every month the bill for one kilowatt electricity connection used to range from Rs 750 to 800. In the September 2021 bill issued to Mahesh Sharma, Rs 12,000 has been mentioned. For the last six months, Mahesh Sharma has been wandering in the JE office of the power company, sometimes in the DE office. For the correction in the electricity bill, he had applied twice to the DE, this application was sent to the JE office after the order of amendment in the bill, but after both the applications were lost from the JE office. Bharat Sharma resident MS Road has been suffering from a similar problem for the past one year, whose shop located at Mudiakheda has given the bill of 85 thousand instead of five thousand, which is not being rectified in 11 months.
The phone numbers given on the electricity bills are not even raised:
Along with the electricity bills being given by the electricity company to the consumers, the mobile number of the JE and AE of the concerned area remains. But this mobile is never received. For example, understand that AE PS Yadav’s mobile number is 6232915317 in the electricity bills being given to the consumers of Morena city, this phone is never received. In the urban office of the electricity company, a mobile number 9755545263 has also been written for the redressal of consumers, this phone number is also said to be of AE PS Yadav, but this phone is not found.
