Cooking Oil Price , There is a sharp decline in the price of edible oils skyrocketing. A fall in the price of edible oil has been recorded by Rs 10 to 15. Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey has informed on Wednesday that due to the softening of international prices and timely intervention of the government, the prices of edible oil have started coming down in the retail market. Let us inform you that the average retail prices of packaged edible oils, except groundnut oil, have come down slightly across the country since the beginning of this month and currently the oil prices are ruling in the range of Rs 150 to 190 per kg.

Many companies reduced the price of edible oil

Last week, edible oil companies Adani Wilmar and Mother Dairy also reduced the MRP (maximum retail price) of edible oil by Rs 10-15 per liter. Both these major edible oil companies said that the stock with the new MRP will soon hit the market.

Oil prices fluctuate in the last one month

Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey said that the timely intervention of the Central Government and the falling prices of edible oils in the global market is a positive trend. He said that not only the prices of edible oil, retail wheat and wheat flour are also stable. He said that the government’s efforts to keep domestic prices under control are succeeding. According to data compiled by the Department of Consumer Affairs, the average retail price of groundnut oil (packed) was Rs 188.14 per kg on June 21, as against Rs 186.43 per kg on June 1. On the other hand, the price of mustard oil has come down marginally to Rs 180.85 per kg on June 21 from Rs 183.68 per kg on June 1. The price of vegetable is Rs 165 per kg. Soya oil prices declined marginally to Rs 167.67 from Rs 169.65, while sunflower prices fell marginally from Rs 193 per kg to Rs 189.99.

Adani Wilmar reduced the price by Rs 10

Adani Wilmar on Saturday cut the prices of its edible oils by Rs 10 per litre. The MRP of a 1-litre pack of Fortune Refined Sunflower Oil has been reduced from Rs 220 per liter to Rs 210. The MRP of Fortune Soyabean and Fortune Kachchi Ghani (Mustard Oil) 1-litre pack has been reduced from Rs.205 per liter to Rs.195.
