Karachi: A female journalist was allegedly beaten and tortured by a group of people involved in facilitating cheating at centers during high school examinations in Pakistan. Pakistan’s ARY News reported that a video of the beating of a female journalist went viral on social media, in which the cheating mafia can be seen beating a female journalist in a school in Korangi. Regarding the incident, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar and University and Board Minister Muhammad Ali Malkani has sought a report from the concerned authorities.
The Home Minister directed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi Hasan Sardar Khan to submit a report on the incident as soon as possible. The police took cognizance of the viral video and took action and arrested three suspects including the school owner. It is pertinent to mention here that the matriculation examinations in Karachi are being conducted with serious irregularities, including lack of furniture for students and complaints of blatant cheating.
Exam papers also leaked
Electricity load shedding occurred in several examination centers during the annual examination of classes 9 and 10 under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK). According to reports from different parts of Karachi, despite the hot weather, students are facing the problem of power cuts. There was a fault in the electricity system at the Government Girls Secondary Campus School located on Jacob Line. Officials failed to resolve the problem even on the fourth day. Students were forced to solve exam papers in hot weather. Due to sweat, the exam copies of the students can get spoiled and ultimately the performance of the students will also be affected. (ARY)
