According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, after the death of 201 more people due to infection in the country, the death toll increased to 5,14,589. The number of daily cases of infection in the country has remained less than one lakh for 26 consecutive days.
At present, 69,897 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country, which is 0.16 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, there was a decrease in the number of patients undergoing treatment by 7,255. The national recovery rate of patients has increased to 98.64 percent.
According to the data, the daily rate of infection was 0.69 percent and the weekly rate was 0.90 percent. So far, a total of 4,23,67,070 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from COVID-19 is 1.20 percent. At the same time, more than 178.29 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
Let us inform that on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakhs, on 23 August 2020 30 lakhs and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.
On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, crossed 30 million. On January 26 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.
