All the villagers together have locked the cattle in the government school that came to the village. In this shocking incident, villagers say that due to the wandering of cattle here and there, their crops were ruined. Because of this they have locked them in the government school. Not only this, it has also been closed by keeping wood on the gate from outside.
The whole matter is of Rasulabad Gopalpur village of Kanpur Rural, where the villagers have become troubled due to the cattle roaming here and there. With the elections approaching, this issue has also started gaining a lot of momentum. The Samajwadi Party has also promised to pay compensation for the lives of stray cattle. Though a temporary gaushala was built for stray cattle in this way, however, it could not be put to proper use due to the complete non-functioning by the authorities. In such a situation, orders have been given to all the officers that on the sight of stray animals roaming in this way, the concerned officer will be suspended.
Villagers say that animals destroy their crops, which is a matter of great concern. Apart from this, incidents of attacks on humans have also come to the fore. There have also been reports of the death of two people in such incidents. The villagers believe that strict action should be taken by the government in this matter.
