Raipur (Naiduniya Representative). Mahasamund is in strong position in the final match of Chief Minister’s Trophy organized by Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association at RDCA Ground. On the second day of the match, Mahasamund team started playing 414 runs 90.0 overs 8 wickets in the first innings. Mahasamund scored 416 runs in 92.5 overs in the first innings.
Ayush Singh Thakur, Amritpal Singh and Ashish Chauhan took three wickets each in the first innings for Raipur Blue team. By the end of the second day’s play in the first innings, Raipur Blue team made 237 runs in 85.0 overs for seven wickets. While batting, Raipur Blue team Kivnoor Chhabra (not out) scored 64 runs, 148 balls, 7 fours, two sixes, Avneesh Singh 38 runs, Rishi Sharma 38 runs, Manoj Singh 36 runs. Bowling in the first innings from Mahasamund, Sudhanshu took three wickets. Prashant and Jaideep took two wickets each.
Bhilai Indians beat Surguja Royals by 53 runs
The Avinash Chhattisgarh Premier League (CPL) T20 tournament organized under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh Khel Congress and Veer Sports Club started on Tuesday. Minister Shiv Kumar Dahria inaugurated the tournament at the International Cricket Stadium, Nava Raipur. Minister Dahria said that this tournament will work to nurture the natural talent of Chhattisgarh. Young talents from rural and forest areas have got a big opportunity.

Giving information, Chhattisgarh Sports Congress President Praveen Jain said that the inaugural match was played between ACC Bhilai Indians and Surguja Royals. Surguja Royals won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Bhilai Indians scored 141 for the loss of all wickets in 17.2 overs thanks to 27 runs from Dilraj Bhatia.
In reply, Surguja Royals got off to a bad start. From which she could not recover. In 20 overs, only 87 runs could be scored for nine wickets. Bhilai Indians beat Surguja Royals by 53 runs. Chandrahas Verma took three wickets for three runs in three overs. He was adjudged man of the match.
