In Maharashtra, a man with his debit card reached an ATM to withdraw money. He put his card in the machine to withdraw 500 rupees and completed the process, then five times the cash i.e. 2500 rupees came out from the ATM. He was surprised and checked his account balance, but only Rs 500 was deducted from his account. What was then, as soon as this thing came to the fore, there was a competition for those who withdraw money from this ATM machine. This whole matter is of Nagpur district.
According to the report, the person again withdrew 500 rupees from the ATM, then again only 2500 rupees came out. This due on Wednesday is of a private bank’s ATM located in Khaparkheda town, about 30 km from Nagpur. The news of five times cash withdrawal from this ATM spread like wildfire and a huge crowd gathered outside it. After this, a customer of this bank informed the local police about the matter. According to police station officials, the ATM was closed on reaching the spot and the crowd was dispersed after informing the bank about it.
According to the report, the bank officials told that due to some kind of technical problem, the extra cash was coming out of the ATM. The official said that the extra Rs 500 notes that were being issued were mistakenly kept in the ATM tray so that Rs 100 notes could be withdrawn. It said that no case has been registered in this regard so far.
