Karachi: Miscreants threw an object at actress Mahira Khan during a public event in Quetta city of Pakistan. Actress Khan condemned the incident on Thursday. Mahira Khan said that she felt afraid of getting trapped in a crowd-like situation. The actress had attended an event organized by ‘Arts Council of Pakistan’ in Quetta on Wednesday, where someone in the audience threw an object at her, which was reportedly a bottle.
What did Mahira say?
A video of the incident soon went viral on social media, in which Mahira can be seen mildly reprimanding an unidentified bystander in the crowd for his actions. In the video clip circulated, Mahira is saying, “This has gone wrong, you have started throwing things.” Mahira wrote a comment about the incident on her Instagram account on Thursday evening.
‘This is a wrong example’
Mahira said, “Whatever happened in the program cannot be forgotten.” No one should think it’s okay to throw something on stage, even if it’s a flower wrapped in a paper plane. “It sets a wrong precedent.”
‘Will not organize any program in Quetta’
Thanking her fans and followers for showing concern and love, Mahira wrote, “This is unacceptable. I was scared not only for myself but also for others who might get caught in a crowd-like situation.” The actress said that while returning home, someone told her that she would never organize an event in Quetta again.
