There has been a sharp fall in the prices of crude oil in the global market and the price of Brent crude has come down by about $ 2 (Rs 160) per barrel in the last 24 hours. Its effect was also seen on the retail prices of petrol and diesel issued by the government oil companies on Wednesday morning and today the prices of oil have changed in many cities.
According to government oil companies, petrol became cheaper by 7 paise this morning at Rs 96.92 a liter in Gurgaon, Haryana, while diesel dropped by 7 paise to Rs 89.796 a litre. In Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, petrol has increased by 4 paise to Rs 108.48 a liter while diesel has increased by 4 paise to Rs 93.72 a litre. In Patna, the capital of Bihar, the price of petrol became cheaper by 56 paise and became Rs 107.24 a litre, while diesel fell by 52 paise to Rs 94.04 a litre.
Talking about crude oil, its prices have also seen a rise during the last 24 hours. The price of Brent crude has increased by about $ 2 to reach $ 86.37 per barrel. The price of WTI has also fallen drastically to $80.25 per barrel.

– Petrol Rs 96.65 and diesel Rs 89.82 per liter in Delhi
– Petrol Rs 106.31 and diesel Rs 94.27 per liter in Mumbai
– Petrol Rs 102.63 and diesel Rs 94.24 per liter in Chennai
– Petrol Rs 106.03 and diesel Rs 92.76 per liter in Kolkata

– Petrol in Jaipur has become Rs 108.48 and diesel Rs 93.72 per liter.

New rates are released every morning at 6 am
There is a change in the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles from the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
