In the women’s singles round of 64 match on the first day of the Commonwealth Games 2022, Anhat Singh defeated several years older Saint Vicente and Jeda Ross of the Grenadines in consecutive three games. Anhat was born on 13 March 2008 in Delhi. His father Gursharan Singh is a lawyer by profession and mother Tani Singh is an interior designer. Anhat is a student of class IX. Apart from this, his elder sister Amira is also a squash player. Anahata was earlier fond of badminton. According to media reports, when Anhat was 6 years old, she saw PV Sindhu playing badminton in Delhi. Since then he thought of making a future in badminton. But later he started playing squash regularly while watching his elder sister Amira. Since that time, Anhat has been playing squash continuously.
