America Tesla, the world’s largest and popular electric car maker, recently had to recall about 5 lakh vehicles. The reason for this is that there is a defect in the safety features of the car. In fact, along with the rearview camera in the infotainment system of the company’s electric vehicles, some faults were also seen in the trunk system. Due to this, the company had to recall more than 4,75,000 electric vehicles of its Model 3 and Model S keeping in mind the safety of the driver and passengers.

The US Road Safety Regulator has also made a statement on Tesla recalling more than 4,75,000 Model 3 and Model S electric vehicles due to faulty safety features of its electric vehicles. The road safety regulator informed that Tesla’s Model 3 and Model S vehicles were at risk of crash due to a defect in safety features. To avoid this danger, the company got its defective vehicles back.
The fall in the share price of the company
Tesla’s recall of more than 4,75,000 Model 3 and Model S electric vehicles due to a defect in safety features has also affected the company’s stock. Due to this, the company’s stock fell by 1.1% during pre-market trading on Thursday. Even some time ago, Tesla’s stock had seen a decline due to a minor defect in the company’s electric vehicles.

No statement from Tesla yet
Giving information on this whole matter, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of America has said that the company had to recall 3,56,309 Model 3 electric vehicles due to a fault in the rearview camera. Tesla has not issued any official statement so far about the company had to recall 1,19,009 electric vehicles of the Model S due to a defect in the same front hood.
