The Delhi government had recently ordered the cancellation of the registration of old diesel-petrol vehicles. The Delhi government had issued a notice to implement this order from January 1, 2022. In such a situation, if you are a resident of Delhi and you have such old diesel-petrol vehicles, then now you will not be able to drive them on the road of Delhi. And if still someone does this, then it will be considered illegal and there will also be a provision of penalty or punishment against him.

1. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said that since the beginning of the year till now the registration of more than 1 lakh diesel vehicles which are more than 10 years old has been canceled.
2. The registration of petrol vehicles older than 15 years is also being canceled.
3. Giving information, Kailash Gehlot said that special buses are being run in Delhi to take care of the environment. Due to this, public transport vehicles are running on only one-third of their capacity.
4. According to Kailash Gehlot, due to the Corona epidemic, at present only about 35 people travel in 50-seat public transport vehicles in Delhi.
5. According to Kailash Gehlot, the Delhi government has so far renewed the permit of 550 special buses for the environment and their number will increase in the coming days.

6. Earlier the Delhi government was not going to issue NOC to diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years. But now NOC will be issued to such vehicles.
7. Delhi government will issue a NOC to all those 10-year old diesel vehicles whose registration will be de-registered. With this, those old diesel vehicles can be re-registered in places other than Delhi. However, such diesel vehicles which are more than 15 years old will not be given NOC.
8. Giving information, Kailash Gehlot said that the application for NOC can be done only through the website of the Transport Department.
9. Option to convert old vehicles to electric vehicles will also be given.
10. The process of converting old vehicles with the help of electric kit will be between the owner of the vehicle and the company. There will be no responsibility of the government or the transport department in this.
