Bharatpur In Bharatpur, people today demonstrated on the Municipal Corporation and District Collectorate under the leadership of the Housingless Sangharsh Samiti and submitted a memorandum. A large number of people led by Committee Chairman Comrade Nathi Lal arrived here as a procession and made their demands.
The memorandum stated that there are many families in the city who do not have their own homes and have been living in rented houses for a long time. Due to rising unemployment and inflation, it has also become difficult for them to pay rent. Despite having government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, they are not getting the benefit of it.
The committee said that in a meeting held with the then Collector Amit Yadav in November 2024, the housing hearers were assured to give 50 yards of land and three lakh rupees for construction. Subsequently, applications of the needy were also submitted in January 2025, but they have not been surveyed even after 8 months. The organization alleges that only assurance has been received even after meeting the administration repeatedly.
The Housingless Conflict Committee has demanded the administration to take immediate action in this matter and start the process of providing land to the needy people.
