New Delhi. After the backward aspirational districts and blocks in the race for development, now there is a preparation to connect the urban bodies with this scheme. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Urban Development Department has started the process of identifying 100 urban bodies of the state. The special thing is that only Nagar Panchayat and Nagar Palika Parishad will be included in these 100 urban bodies. Municipal corporations will be kept out of this. According to the initially decided action plan, in accordance with the priority of the Chief Minister in the aspirational urban body plan, holistic development is to be done on the basis of standards related to health and nutrition, education, roads, drinking water, electricity, solar energy, financial inclusion, skill development and infrastructure development. Will try
Indicators of each sector will be fixed and separate marks will be fixed for each, on the basis of which the progress of these bodies can be reviewed. On the lines of aspirational development blocks, these 100 aspirational urban bodies will be directly monitored from the government level. Municipal corporations will not be included in this new program, as they are already involved in other schemes including smart cities, although the inclusion of newly created local bodies is also being considered. Not only this, there is also a possibility that the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme should be extended to the aspirational urban bodies.
