New Delhi. Just a day after resigning from the National Conference, senior leaders Devendra Singh Rana and Surjit Singh Salathia joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.
Both the leaders took party membership at the BJP headquarters in the capital Delhi. Devendra Singh Rana and Surjit Singh Salathia joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State for PMO Dr Jitendra Singh at the function organized at the BJP party headquarters in Delhi.

After joining BJP, Devendra Singh Rana said, ‘The time has come, Jammu should also have a political narrative.’
Earlier, on Sunday, Devendra and Surjeet had resigned from the priority membership of the National Conference in Jammu. Devendra Singh Rana, resigning from the National Conference, said that the interests of Jammu are paramount for him and he is ready to make any sacrifice for the cause of Jammu.

Let us tell you that the Bharatiya Janata Party has started preparing to wave saffron in the valley. It is believed that after the completion of the delimitation process, the announcement of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir can be done. This is the reason why BJP is trying to strengthen its ground here. The inclusion of Devendra Singh Meena and Surjit Salathia is believed to be part of this episode.
