New Delhi. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of making controversial remarks during the election campaign. In his post, Malviya wrote, “In an outrageous statement, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has said that Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bible and Quran will end one day! It is unimaginable that a political leader would wish for the disappearance of any religious book.”
Malviya accused Banerjee of having disdain for Hinduism, but also claimed she secretly wishes the Quran would disappear. “Mamata Banerjee’s contempt for the Hindu faith and scriptures is well known, but this statement exposes not only her deep disdain for minorities but also her hypocrisy. She wants Muslim votes but quietly wishes for the Quran to disappear,” he said.
Criticising Banerjee for directing Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim to apologise specifically to Muslims, Malviya said, “Instead of apologising to followers of all religions, Mamata Banerjee chose Firhad Hakim to apologise only to Muslims.”
Ramana, Manwar, Karna, Bangla are the two who got married and had children.

Malviya also posted a video snippet of Banerjee in which he was purportedly saying, “If I start arguing now, Ramayan, Mahabharat, Quran, Bible will cease to exist, but my story will continue…” In another video shared by Malviya, Hakim can be purportedly heard saying, “It was a slip of the tongue.” Malviya raised the question as to why Hakim apologised only to Muslims and not to the followers of other religions, saying, “Why is Mamata Banerjee not apologising herself? Why are her representatives apologising only to Muslims?”
Referring to a previous incident, Malviya reminded that in 2019, Banerjee had allegedly called Muslims “milking cows” and since then, she has taken a more strident anti-Hindu stance. “In 2019, she called Muslims milking cows because they voted for her. Since then, she has taken a more strident anti-Hindu stance,” Malviya said. He also cited recent incidents where Banerjee had allegedly attacked institutions such as the Ramakrishna Mission, ISKCON and Bharat Sevashram Sangh.
