Bhopal Crime Branch has registered a case in connection with a tweet by Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh in connection with the photo of Bihar being that of Khargone. A case has been registered against him under several sections including hurting religious sentiments with forged documents. The BJP has demanded an inquiry by calling this tweet an international conspiracy. At the same time, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang has also written a letter to Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal appealing to close the Twitter handle of Digvijay Singh. Let us tell you, BJP Bhopal district president Sumit Pachauri, along with the workers, had made a complaint application against Digvijay Singh to the DCP of Bhopal Crime Branch demanding registration of FIR. In this complaint sent to the DCP, he had described Digvijay Singh’s tweet as disturbing the communal atmosphere in the state, due to which the crime branch has punished him under sections 58/22, 153A(1), 295A, 465, 505(2) of the IPC. Let us inform, Digvijay Singh had tweeted yesterday i.e. on Tuesday, saying that a youth hoisted the saffron flag at a religious place is of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. He also commented on this tweet questioning the government. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also spoken of spreading religious frenzy on Digvijay Singh and pushing the state towards riots. At the same time, Home Minister Narottam Mishra had also said that the opinion of law experts is being taken for legal action.
