In the ongoing Congress digital membership campaign in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s own assembly constituency has lagged behind. In view of the assembly elections to be held in Rajasthan next year, a digital membership campaign is being run in the state. But in the data released after 5 months, the assembly constituency of CM Gehlot has lagged behind at 14th place. Even more surprising came to the fore that the assembly constituency of the CM’s home district, Shergarh, was left behind.
Actually, assembly elections are going to be held in Rajasthan next year. In view of the assembly elections, the ruling party Congress had started a digital membership campaign in the state from November 1. Digital membership drive was conducted in all 200 assembly constituencies of the state. But after 5 months when the figures were released, the membership campaign got exposed. The assembly constituency of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has come to 14th place in the list of membership campaign. Not only this, 8 assembly constituencies of CM’s home district have been badly behind in the organization membership drive. Shergarh assembly constituency of Jodhpur district is ranked 174th out of 200 assembly seats. Also, the worst situation has been in Shergarh, Bilara, Bhopal assembly constituencies of CM’s home district. Where the Congress organization has lagged behind in adding common people to the party.
Each booth had a target of 100 members
The All India Congress Committee had given a target of adding 100 members to each booth of 200 assembly constituencies of Rajasthan in the digital membership campaign. But out of 10 assembly constituencies of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s home district, only 8 assembly constituencies could meet this target, but fell badly behind in the list of 200 seats.
Worst situation in Shergarh assembly constituency
The Shergarh assembly constituency of CM Gehlot’s home district is badly lagging behind in the membership drive. In Shergarh, the assembly constituency of MLA Meena Kavar, only 713 members could join the party in 290 booths. Due to which Shergarh lagged behind at 174th place in the released list of 200 assembly constituencies. In Bhopalgarh seat also, 2546 members were made in 293 booths. Due to which Bhopalgarh stood at 132nd position. At the same time, the surprising thing was that in the CM’s home district, the Bilara assembly constituency of the rural district president also remained at 131st place in the list.
