This forecast is in line with predictions of above normal monsoon season rainfall in India due to favorable La Nina conditions from August-September. Regarding the south-west monsoon, SCOF said, ‘In the south-west monsoon (June-September) season of 2024, there will be above normal rainfall in most parts of South Asia, except some areas in the northern, eastern and north-eastern parts of South Asia. There is a high possibility of. During this season, maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be above normal in most parts of South Asia. This does not include parts of the south-eastern part of the region, where normal temperatures are most likely.
