Rajnandgaon. The district has been nominated for the Sub National Certification Award (Bronze Medal) for its better work towards TB disease control. For this, surveys are being conducted in selected villages. Ranking will be done on the basis of group discussion, feedback etc. For this, the team of Health Department is reaching door to door in the villages. in order to secure the bronze medal.
Collector Taran Prakash Sinha conducted a survey in village Sahaspur of Khairagarh block and inspected the work of the medical team identifying persons with symptoms of TB. After going door-to-door in each of the villages identified by the survey team, after taking information of all the family members, former TB patients, presently taking TB medicine and persons with possible symptoms of TB are being identified. Samples of potential TB patients with symptoms of tuberculosis are being collected and tested on the same day through Truenaut Lab. If a patient with symptoms of TB is not found in these villages, survey work will be done by the team in the nearby villages. Work is being done on the campaign to eradicate TB disease from the state.
The team will assess the achievements
It was informed that Rajnandgaon district has been nominated for the Sub National Certification Award for its better work towards TB disease control. For this, the achievements of the TB program of the district will be assessed by the team of Central TB Division. For this, the health department team is going door-to-door to identify all the family members with possible symptoms of TB. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mithlesh Chaudhary, SDM Khairagarh Lovekesh Dhruv, District CEO Khairagarh Roshni Bhagat, Tehsildar Pritam Sahu and other officials were present on the occasion.
