Jodhpur. Today, Dr. B.B. R. A special program was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. Senior Advocate of Jodhpur K.S. Yadav was present. The program began with the chief guest lighting the lamp and offering a wreath to both great personalities. Subsequently, Afri Director Dr. Tarun Kant welcomed the chief guest by offering flowers. Ms. Dheeraj Lohra and Sawai Singh Rajpurohit introduced Dr. Ambedkar’s life and works.
Chief Guest Dr. K.S. Yadav in his address, Dr. B.C. R. Ambedkar highlighted the invaluable contribution made in various fields like law, justice, equality and economics. He also expressed his views on the role of Baba Saheb in social harmony. Presiding over the program, Dr. Tarun Kant, Director of Afri, Dr. B.C. R. Recalling Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s inequality in Indian society and struggles in the field of women’s education. He described Baba Saheb’s ideals of justice, equality and fraternity as important.
All the scientists, technical officers, employees and researchers of the institute present on the occasion also shared their views on the contribution of these great men. The program was conducted by Ajay Vashisht, while the vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Desh Meena of Genetics and Tree Reform Division.
