New Delhi. Special Cell busted interstate narcotic drug cartel with the recovery of 15 kg of heroin. Four suppliers associated with the gang have been arrested. Heroin worth more than Rs 50 crore in the international market has been recovered from them. The seized drugs were purchased from Manipur. The three arrested accused, Prakash Paudial, Diliram and Arjun, were involved in illegal drug smuggling for the last 3 years. On the behest of accused Prakash Paudial, another member of this drug cartel, Sanjay Saha, was arrested from West Bengal.
A team of Special Cell led by Inspector Pawan Kumar under the supervision of ACP Ved Prakash arrested the accused Dilli Ram, Prakash Paudial and Arjun on February 21 from Kashmiri Gate near Rajghat Bus Depot. A total of 15 kilograms of heroin was recovered from the accused. The recovered heroin was sourced from drug suppliers based in Manipur and was to be given to drug smugglers in Delhi. The accused had hidden the smuggled drugs in their bags. A team of the Special Cell was acting on information that an interstate drug gang was active in the states of Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Delhi. Members of this gang were involved in supplying heroin from across the border of Myanmar to various parts of the country including Delhi-NCR.

15 kg heroin recovered
On February 21, the Special Cell had received input that gang members Delhi Ram, Prakash Paudial and Arjun had taken a huge consignment of heroin from Daju Kuki alias Raju, resident of Imphal, Manipur. They will deliver this consignment of heroin to contacts in Delhi. The three were identified as Delhi Ram, Prakash and Arjun. The raiding team surrounded and controlled them. Upon search, a total of 15 kilograms of heroin was recovered from them. 05 kg heroin was recovered from the bag of each accused. A case has been registered in this regard in the PS Special Cell under appropriate sections of the law.
Smuggling from Myanmar to India!
During interrogation, all of them have revealed that they are members of a drug syndicate, which is involved in smuggling of drugs from across the border to Myanmar in different parts of India. He further told that he has been involved in the supply of heroin for the last three years and before this he had supplied drugs to various parties of West Bengal, Bihar and Delhi NCR. They had received this consignment from Herojeet and Daju Kuki alias Raju, both residents of Imphal, Manipur and had come to Delhi on their instructions to deliver this consignment to their Delhi based contacts. Further interrogation of the arrested drug suppliers is underway so that their remaining associates and members of the syndicate can be identified.
