Indian tennis star Sania Mirza along with her partner Lucy Hardeka has reached the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships. Sania and her Czech partner from the Czech Republic together defeated Chan Hao-Ching of Chinese Taipei and Demi Schurs of the Netherlands 7-6, 5-7, 11-9 in the women’s pre-quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament.

Sania and Hardeka have got wild card entries in this tournament. She will face Japan’s Shuko Aoyama and Serbia’s Alexandra Krunic in the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament.
Sania had earlier won the title here in 2013 with Bethanie Mattek-Sand of America. India’s star woman player Sania last month announced that 2022 would be her last season and after that she would retire from tennis.
