Jaipur. Dudu collector Hanuman Mal Dhaka, who was involved in a bribery case of Rs 25 lakh in Rajasthan, has been removed from his post by the Bhajanlal government and made APO. Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan has given the message of zero tolerance policy towards corruption by appointing Dudu Collector as APO. Since the Lok Sabha elections are going on, the approval of the Election Commission of India will be taken before appointing any IAS in his place or giving him additional charge.
In fact, in such a case of bribery, the government issues an APO to the accused officer or employee after keeping him in police custody for 48 hours. But in this case, Hanuman Mal Dhaka has been made APO considering the prima facie involvement of the Collector in the bribery case during elections. The logic behind this is that no further manipulation should be done while in office. Facts and evidence should not be tampered with. Therefore, adopting the policy of zero tolerance, the government has made Dudu Collector an APO.
