New Delhi. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has given a big statement on terrorist attacks in the country and issues related to national security. On Pakistan and China in Bhubaneswar, Dr. S. Jaishankar said that before PM Narendra Modi came to power, the country used to only tolerate terrorist attacks. On Pakistan, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said that ‘we were tolerating it till the Modi government came. We were turning the other cheek. We were not taking action. Things have changed after the arrival of PM Modi. You saw Uri, Balakot. Therefore, we have made it clear today that any threat of terrorism, cross-border terrorism coming from Pakistan will receive an appropriate response from India.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on May 4 that after the Modi government came to power, India made it clear that any threat of terrorism, cross-border terrorism, whether it comes from Pakistan or anywhere else, will receive an appropriate response. Addressing a gathering in Odisha on Saturday, Jaishankar also discussed the dispute with China on the Line of Actual Control.
On the issue of border dispute with China, the Foreign Minister said that ‘in the last four years, an attempt has been made to put pressure on us by bringing a large number of troops on the Line of Actual Control. We have fought it very strongly. Today thousands of soldiers of the Indian Army are on the border. We are very clear, we are there, we are strong, we have to take any action as per the circumstances. Our forces will naturally be the best judges of this. When it comes to national security, the Modi government will never compromise.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that his government’s surgical and air strikes have shaken Pakistan. Addressing an election rally in Palamu, Jharkhand, PM Modi said that ‘insult to Maa Bharati will no longer be tolerated. The new surgical and air strikes by India shocked Pakistan, which was known to support terrorist attacks on India during the Congress rule.
