New Delhi. On one hand, the Supreme Court is going to give its verdict on the interim bail of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Friday. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED will file a charge sheet against Arvind Kejriwal in Rouse Avenue Court on Friday itself. According to media reports, she is going to term Arvind Kejriwal as the kingpin of the liquor scam in her charge sheet. This will be the first time that Arvind Kejriwal’s name will appear in a charge sheet of liquor scam.
According to the information, ED also says that it has detected the money trail related to Arvind Kejriwal. Giving all this information in the charge sheet may increase the problems of Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21. Earlier, ED had summoned Arvind Kejriwal 9 times for questioning in the liquor scam, but Arvind Kejriwal did not appear before the investigating agency. On the 9th summons, he had told the Delhi High Court that he can appear for questioning, but the ED should assure that it will not arrest him. This condition of Kejriwal was rejected by the Delhi High Court. After which Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the investigating agency on the evening of 21st March.
Arvind Kejriwal also went to Delhi High Court for relief, but due to the evidence presented by ED, he could not get relief from there. After this Arvind Kejriwal approached the Supreme Court. There he argued that he was arrested with the intention of stopping him from campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. Arvind Kejriwal has also said that many of the accused who testified against him in the liquor scam are also associated with BJP. The Supreme Court, after hearing the application of Arvind Kejriwal, had sought a reply from the ED. Now whether Arvind Kejriwal gets relief from the Supreme Court or not, it will be known tomorrow.
